Professors Karen Evans and Ingrid Schoon both gave keynote lectures at the international research conference on Transitions in the Life Course. The conference, held in Goethe University Frankfurt, brought together researchers from Europe and USA. Karen Evans’s keynote presented a comparative perspective on Youth and Working Life Transitions in Changing Social Landscapes, focusing on emergent life-course themes, while Ingrid Schoon’s contribution considered the roles of Structure, Agency and Time in conceptualising transitions in a life-course perspective.
The Conference itself marked the launch of a Collaborative DFG-funded Research Training Group on Forms of the Formation of Transitions in the Life Course which promises to have many connections with LLAKES research, into the future.
